Free Peoples is a bay area based band, formed in 1999 by vocalist/guitarist/bassist/harmonica Tim Sawyer and bassist/guitarist/vocalist Michael DiPirro. In addition, the current lineup features Kevin Carnes and/or Ricky Lomeli on Drums, Jason Thor on trombone/vocals, Nick Hasty on vocals, saxophone and flute, and Sam Hamby on Lead Guitar. Free Peoples has become one of the best American roots bands around. They‰Ûªve evolved from bluegrass roots to be one of the best live bands anywhere, with elements of New Orleans, and beyond. Fine harmonies, jazz and reggae edges with rock elements all combine into a cohesive joyful sound, impeccable musicianship and excellent song writing.
