
Lyndy Butler
Lyndy Butler was raised as a gypsy cactus bird in the Utah/Arizona southwest but didn't begin her music career until she was a mama-bird herself. After graduating with a teaching degree and opening a performing arts preschool and private music studio, She began writing and recording her own music. She independently released two full length solo albums, found national attention as a Finalist in the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriters showcase in Lyons, Colorado, and in the Kerrville NewFolk Songwriting competition in Kerrville, Texas. and has several TV/film placements. Her latest release, The Buddy System, a children‰Ûªs album collaboration with her pal, Cherie Call, was awarded a Gold Medal from Parents Choice Awards and also includes "The Astronaut and The Mermaid" which won the Grand Prize from The John Lennon Songwriting competition in 2017. As Winner of Utah's 2018 Troubeliever Song Contest, Lyndy shared a song to warm the stage for Rodney Crowell and Emmylou Harris and chatting with them backstage will always be a highlight of her career. Her fourth album "Buffalo Skater" will be rolling out this year where Lyndy's Fresh story-telling folk stylings meets Vintage country western flare. Lyndy currently resides in Hurricane, Utah with her husband, their four children and their dog "Lucky".
