Swell Gibson utilizes the classic organ trio instrumentation of organ, guitar, and drums to create funky, soulful music in the spirit of Jimmy Smith, Richard “Groove” Holmes, and the Meters. Hammond organ artist, Tris Duncan, along with Andy Ellsworth (guitar) and Tony Hundtoft (drums) cover groovin' classics by these legendary artists in performances, alongside a handful of originals, and instrumental twists on recognizable rock and pop songs. The band members reside in New Orleans and Los Angeles, where their consummate musicianship has kept them busy over the years backing other artists, including Macy Gray, George Clinton, Louis Prima Jr. and Mary Wilson.
