Analog Son
Analog Son calls upon funkiest friends on the new album "Stomp and Shout", featuring the Shady Horns, Joe Tatton and more. After 17 years of musical camaraderie, Jordan Linit and Josh Fairman have created Analog Son. Based around a studio project involving The Shady Horns (Lettuce, Soulive), Joe Tatton (The New Mastersounds), Ivan Neville (Dumpstaphunk) and Joey Porter (The Motet/Juno What?!) as well as some of Denver‰Ûªs finest local talent (members of Motet, Fox Street All Stars, Kinetix, Rebel Tounge, Devon Parker, Convergence) Analog Son released "Stomp and Shout" Last March to a sold out Bluebird Theater. This funky brainchild was born at Scanhope Sound in fall 2013. While Josh and Jordan had conceptualized this project for years, much of the composition was impromptu as each guest musician brought their own unique brand of artistry to the table stirring up a sizzling musical melting pot. The Album showcases the unmistakable articulation and harmony of Ryan Zoidis and Eric Bloom (The Shady Horns) as their melodies naturally integrate with Josh and Jordan‰Ûªs rhythmic chemistry and vision to create a fresh funk-fusion project. The end result takes advantage of modern production and technology while using the finest vintage equipment and tape machines to fuse together both classic engineering and modern musicianship. This studio finesse translates effortlessly into the live setting. In their short existence, Analog Son has supported The Funky Meters, Snarky Puppy, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, The New Mastersounds, Maceo, Victor Wooten and Orgone at some of Colorado‰Ûªs premiere venues. Live audio engineer, Joe Michaels (The Rolling Stones; Larry Graham; Blood, Sweat and Tears), immediately remarks on the authentic funk revival Linit and Fairman have managed to pull off. He states that ‰ÛÏmixing these guys is like pure funk heaven‰Û_.reminds me of my Larry Graham days!‰Û Don‰Ûªt miss your chance to catch ‰ÛÏsome funky, trippy jazz-funk from an awesome set of players.‰Û - Joe Tatton
