Derek Frank
Taking a bit of a detour from his regular gigs as both Gwen Stefani’s and Shania Twain’s bass player, Derek Frank takes us on a journey through organic instrumental groove music, drawing influence from many genres; Funk, Soul, Jazz, Blues, Southern Rock, and 70s soundtrack music are all strongly represented in his new solo venture. To convey his musical vision, Derek has assembled a 4-piece supergroup including guitarist Joshua Ray Gooch (his bandmate with Shania Twain), Ty Bailie on keyboards (currently in Katy Perry’s band), and drummer extraordinaire Randy Cooke (from Smashmouth, Colbie Caillat, Ringo Starr, & countless others).
Derek’s most recent solo release, aptly titled “Eleven Years Later”, is the follow up to his 2009 debut “Let the Games Begin…”, and features the aforementioned players along with special guests Joe Bonamassa, The Fat City Horns, former Tower of Power drummer Herman Matthews, and a handful of other notable musicians from Derek's various circles. Available everywhere you buy or stream music; Special-edition vinyl LPs and USB sticks are available through his official online store… For more info, visit www.DerekFrank.com.
