Elizabeth Bee
Elizabeth is definitely one-of-a-kind. A rare breed. She is funny, creative, kind, open-minded, dedicated to music and just plain kickass! She enjoys music from all over the world and never limits herself by choosing one genre to identify by. Collaborating with other artists and sharing her passion for music is what makes her tick.
"Bee" (or "White Chocolate" as she has come to be known by from her Kickstarter video), was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She was limited in her music choices while growing up and likes to joke about how, "I didn't know who the Beatles were until I was 18 and didn't appreciate their music until I was 25." She did, however, get her hands on a few random tapes and CD's that she would enjoy through headphones, while sitting on her closet floor or at a friends house. If she could create a mix tape from her childhood, it would feature artists like George Strait, Billy Joel, Hanson, Marilyn Manson, Vivaldi, Three Six Mafia, Jethro Tull, Yanni, Spice Girls, Snoop Dogg, Three Days Grace and basically every one-hit wonder you might remember from the 90's (to name a few). She has been playing "musical catch-up" since then, and says that hearing Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, "Live at the Quick" album is what made her want to make music the focus of her life's journey.
After struggling with severe stage fright and the untimely death of her father, she landed her first gig with the help of Songwriters Live Australia, at the Old Manly Boatshed, NSW. Upon returning to the States, she moved to Waxhaw, NC where she put an add on Craigslist that she was looking for a band (ask her about it) and started working on her music career. She is now based in Park City, UT where she is an active member in the local community and continues to pursue her passion.
