"Three chord, tears in your beer, country songs were losing their grip on the younger generation. With a strong background in Folk Rock,we decided to try something a little different. We blended more contemporary lyrics with a more pronounced back beat and soaring 3 and 4 part harmonies.
John started playing ukulele at seven years old. He would walk home from school for lunch and pick up his uke instead of eating the sandwich his mother left for him.
“I got my first guitar at 12 years old, my parents drove in a blizzard that day to buy it for me. I grew up in a home filled with wonderful music and singing”.
His love of harmony coincided with the new requirements of Country Rock (The Eagles, Crosby Stills and Nash and the Byrds come to mind) and he became an award-winning pedal steel guitarist, and song writer, while also playing banjo ,dobro and racked harmonica.
“I like to challenge myself by playing songs that other solo performers can’t seem to pull off or,... put in the effort and time to learn.”

Hanging on the wall in John’s kitchen, there’s a poster that has a Stradivarius violin in the background. Printed over the top of that image is:
