Mountain Country is a Salt Lake City band formed around the award winning songwriting, passion, and energy of Jim "Fish" Svendsen. Mountain Country performs spirited acoustic music; playing tightly-crafted original material that is enjoyed by a modern audience, as well as being stewards to some of the old-time bluegrass traditions they all grew up with during childhood. Add to that their stylized cover tunes of popular artists and you've got yourself a full can of stomp! Ultimately, this band plays an acoustic style of music that's not afraid to get dirty mixing the sounds of Country, Bluegrass, and Honky Tonk Twang that fills the listener with toe tapping satisfaction.
