AUDIO ENGINEERING CLASS AT PARK CITY HIGH SCHOOL
The MMF will enhance, fund, scale, and support the Park City High School music and audio engineering program by completing the curriculum, recruiting students, and securing the educational space within the Eccles Center. This will provide high school students interested in a career within the music industry a pathway to achieve their dreams.
Students enrolled in this class are encouraged to apply for our Audio Engineering Internship program and will have precedence over other applicants.
Audio Engineering Internship
Our audio engineering internship program provides students the opportunity to learn the technical skill of audio engineering in both a classroom environment as well as on site at Mountain Town Music concerts.
Through a partnership with SSL, one of the most well respected brands in the industry, students participate in Zoom calls with professional audio engineers who work with bands such as The Killers, The Eagles, The Backstreet Boys and The Grammys.
During the summer, students will get hands on experience loading in the show, patching the audio systems, working with the bands and their managers prior to the shows with our professional audio team on our stages at Canyons Village, Deer Valley, Newpark and Snowbasin. Once the show starts they have their own dedicated sound board with a complete set of inputs from the stage which will allow them to create their own mix in their headphones live during the show. The mix will be recorded to USB and can be given to the bands at the end of the night, as well as being material for the intern’s portfolio.
This program is for Summit County students/residents ages 12-24.
This program is for students enrolled in a Summit County academic program, ages 12-25.
